THE HIDDEN COST OF GUESSWORK

A busy order book doesn’t always mean a profitable bakery.

When ingredients, labor and overhead live in different notes—or only in your head—it is easy to underprice even your most popular bakes.

Ingredient costs keep changing

A price that worked last month can quietly erase this month’s margin.

Your time gets left out

Shopping, prep, decorating and cleanup are part of the job—even when they are missing from the quote.

Small expenses add up

Packaging, utilities and equipment wear can turn a good-looking sale into very little take-home profit.
